The Winter’s Tale
A feminist adaptation
This production changes Shakespeare's final play from a tragi-comedy into a tragedy. Because of #TimesUp and #MeToo – and since there are no statutes of limitations on transgressions for the patriarchal historical abuse of females, this production will feature repercussions for Leontes and Polixenes. To address these issues, Hermione does die, and Leontes is not exonerated - truly a 'winter's tale'. This version harks back to the source material in Robert Greene's 'Pandosto'. In the spirit of Seneca's proposition that "the process of imitation… shouldn't be quite identical to its predecessors", this play is transformed for the zeitgeist and sees both Polixenes and Leontes abandoned by the young couple and their courts as the young set off into a future untainted by tyranny or class distinctions. It will feature an all-female creative team and cast.

Strings Attached
[Formerly known as ‘Jewbilical Cord’]
A hilariously madcap, character-driven musical
When Sharon and Michael Fischer finally see their youngest son off to university, they celebrate getting the house back to themselves, only to have their daughter move back home after a bad breakup. The couple ends up scheming with Michael’s Yiddish-speaking parents to get her out. But one by one, their four children seem to keep coming back. They drive Sharon and Michael around the twist while their always-breaking-down house competes for their attention. But, despite all the mayhem, Sharon and Michael discover that they wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Long Night Animation
A 90-minute theatrical, feature-length film
When an artistic, charismatic dreamer is sent to the concentration camps, he must learn to survive by his wits, only to realise that his imagination can keep his hope alive.
'The Long Night' animation is based on the true story of Ernst Israel Bornstein, who survived seven concentration camps and several death marches as a teenager in the Second World War.
In this imagining, Ernst is an artist- he draws on every surface imaginable, and his drawings spring to life which allows the viewers access to his memories and fantasies. Unlike typical Holocaust sepia-toned films or animations of this genre, this film is bright and vivid in colour.
